Gina Caro has moved house ‘approximately 25 times’ in her life and says she’s ‘born to roam’.

Her marvellous Cold Tea and Smelly Nappies blog is all about motherhood and living a more frugal, sustainable life – and Gina’s blog won the Best Thrifty Blog category at the 2015 MAD (Mum and Dad) Blog Awards.

Experian is delighted to sponsor the Best Thrifty Blog award, which recognises the mum and dad bloggers helping people make savvy financial decisions every day.

We asked Gina to tell us what her greatest ambition would be if there were no restrictions – so here’s a lovely piece in which she tells us all about a dream of hers that shows how our priorities can change!

There is only one dream for us and that is to sail away on our boat and never come back! In order to achieve this dream we first have to become debt free, which we are working on and dare I say it are very close to achieving this.

Funny as it may sound we have quite enjoyed working out how we are going to do this and then putting a plan into action. We’ve enjoyed finding new ways to make some extra money all of which I have documented on my blog, like this post – New Ways We Are Going To Save or Make Money This Year

This wasn’t always a dream for us, before it was all about buying a bigger home, getting nicer cars and generally filling our home and life with things that we don’t need or could do without.

Then recently over the last few years we have realised that this way of life isn’t really for us. By living that kind of lifestyle we seem to of inadvertently added more stress to our life. I guess it comes back to the old saying ‘The more you have the more you have to lose’. So now our outlook on life is very different, instead of buying things that we don’t need we have been getting rid of everything and boy does it feel good!

For us now really it’s just a case of formulating a plan of action. How exactly are we going to make this a reality and how can we make it work with the children? We have the necessary sailing skills and the boat it’s just taking the leap to a new life which is daunting to say the least!

You can keep up to date with our sailing adventures on our other blog Water Gypsy.

Today topic is “Homework and why children don’t want to do it”.So in the beginning I want to tell you that all people in the world are children, and they want to relax or play something. The question always is how can organise yourself for a work. All this is a question of time managment. And person must study this while he or she is at school and doing howework. Parents must show this for their children. So for the summary I want to say that all our homework AAAAA, nor only study us some subject, it study us and prepare for our future life.
