Payment Performance Scheme

What is it?

Experian’s Payment Performance Scheme is a membership scheme that involves members sharing ledger data each month.

Contributing data is free and will take just a little of your time. In return, you'll receive a free monthly report that can help you understand customer payment behaviour, customer cashflow, reduce debtor days - all of which helps members to protect their business from potential bad debt.

The Payment performance Scheme will help you understand your customer's payment patterns, compare how you are being paid against other members, diagnose the quickest and the slowest payers, identify customers experiencing cash flow problems, monitor potential customers' payment habits and help protect your business from bad debt.

How can it help you?

Experian has been collating sales ledger data for over ten years to help businesses combat fraud and bad debtors. Experian has the largest database of up to date commercial payment data with over 6500 ledgers and 20 million commercial transactions processed each month – the equivalent of £12 billion worth of transactions every month.

By becoming a member of Experian’s Payment Performance Scheme, you’ll be able to share ledger data, enabling you to analyse customer payment patterns, monitor payment trends and understand customer cashflow issues.
