As part of the graduate scheme you will have the chance to take part in a number of voluntary activities and community days. These opportunities will give you a chance to give back to the local community and help you to meet and socialise with other graduates.
Here are some examples of what you could get involved in...
- Our Information Technology graduates had the opportunity to co-ordinate a scheme to give Experian employees the opportunity to inspire and motivate school children from deprived areas in Nottingham. The sessions helped children to think about what their future aspirations and how they were going to achive them.
- Experian also raises money for Comic Relief each year. Our graduates dedicated an evening to work in the Experian call centre, chosen by Comic Relief, taking donations and raising money. The evening proved very successful making approximately £87000!
- Experian runs a charity event once a year for a charity of choice. In 2010 Experian ran ‘Ballroom Blitz’, a 1940s style gala for Age UK, and our graduates had the chance to get involved. The event was WWII inspired; the Experian team served food, waited on tables and entertained the elderly from the local area. The event also featured a 1940s style singer and Strictly Come Dancing stars!
As a graduate at Experian you will have the opportunity to get involved in community activities such as these, as well as other voluntary activities run by your department. These opportunities not only develop existing skills and help you to build new networks with colleagues and graduates, but they are lots of fun too!
