I have tried to apply for my credit report. When I went online to apply, it was written that I will have to pay £6.99, but I was sent a letter saying that I will only have to pay £2. How much do I actually have to pay?

We offer two types of credit report. You can get a one-off copy of your report that we print out and post to you. The charge for this is £2, which is set by law. Secondly, you can view your credit report online using our CreditExpert credit report monitoring service. CreditExpert is free for 30 days and then costs £6.99 for each subsequent month you stay a member. Without further details I can’t really shed any light on your application I’m afraid. What I do suggest is that you call the CreditExpert membership team on 0800 656 9000 to ask them for advice. I’m sure they’ll be able to put you in the picture.
