NewBACS

Technology renewal programme launched by Bacs in February 2002 to meet the rapidly growing demand for even more efficient electronic payment services, such as Direct Debit and Direct Credit.  The NewBACS programme included the introduction of Bacstel-IP, which supereseded the old Bactsel system in 2003.
