Sort Code Directories
Although it has always been possible to purchase directories of Sort Codes from banks, publishers and Bacs, this data has no real value until it is coded into a software application. Although the Industry Sorting Code Directory (ISCD) provides a useful source of data, it remains a complex, raw data-file which requires a significant amount of software development resource to become useful. It also requires that the necessary code to undertake the other important aspects of validation - Modulus Checking and Transposing - is developed.
