Third party data compliance options
If you let the applicant choose whether to 'opt in' or 'opt out' then the option is shown on the Consumer Information Search page.

If the applicant chooses to opt out then they must also declare that no adverse data is held about their associates, although that declaration is not verified.

Term
This field is only enabled if the application type is one of the following: first mortgage, hire purchase, credit sale, personal loan, revolving credit, or secured loan.

Use applicant data only (opt out)
If the customer 'opts out' then data about their financial associates is not included in the search. Also, you must ask them to declare that their financial associates do not have any adverse financial records then check the corresponding box. The validity of their claim that their associates have no adverse data is not verified.

Branch
If you belong to a large organisation with multiple locations you may have a branch number. Enter it here.

e-mail address
We use your e-mail address as your user ID for our Online Customer Service. Please enter it using only lower case letters.

Relationship to applicant
Information about a temporary financial association is not kept on the applicant’s credit file permanently.

Temporary association declaration
Check the box to show an option on every application with a joint applicant that lets the main applicant declare whether the financial association is temporary or permanent.

If the customer declares a second applicant is a temporary association then information about that association is not kept on the applicant’s credit file permanently.

Forename
Although you can enter just a letter in the forename field, UK Data Protection Law requires you to obtain the applicant's full forename (and full middle name, if available) and enter them.

Pay by Direct Debit
Click on the link to open a window containing an Adobe PDF version of the Direct Debit form. Print the form, complete it, and post it to: Customer Services, Experian, Riverleen House, Electric Avenue, Nottingham NG80 1RH, United Kingdom.

Date of birth
To comply with UK Data Protection Law and the Information Commissioner's requirements for data adequacy, you should obtain and enter their complete and correct date of birth.

2nd Person Current Address
If the second person's current address is the same as the first person's address, select the 'First person current address' option. If you enter the address into the fields below you will be charged for a separate search.

Third Party Compliance
Third party data is information about a second person that is associated with the first person’s details. For example, through joint accounts or shared details. UK Data Protection Law restricts the use of this data in credit searches. Click here for additional information about third party data.

Opting in/Opting Out
Opting ‘in’ or ‘out’ determines how third party data is used and shown on your credit report. You also have the option of letting the applicant choose how to use the data in their own credit search. Click here for additional information about third party data.

Transient Associations
This term applies to people who enter into a short term financial association. The second applicant can be declared as a transient association and will not be permanently associated with the first person. You can choose whether to let your applicants do this. Experian account number
When you opened your account with Experian we gave you a unique account number. Enter it here.

Number of users required
Each person that requires access to the Autotrace Plus product will need a user login. Enter the expected number of users you will need. As part of the account opening process at a later date you will need to supply us with details of the users required.

Department code
If you were assigned a department code in addition to a branch number when you opened your Experian Internet account, enter it here.

Director and Limited Company reports
