Registered / Business number
Enter the company registered number or business number which is an Experian specific unincorporated number. The Experian specific unincorporated number is the unique reference number that Experian holds for all non-limited businesses. On a few occasions the limited company registered number and the unincorporated number can be the same number, therefore Experian pre-fixes the unincorporated number with UI (previously UC) to differentiate it from a registered company number. A full registered / business number should be either 8 or 10 digits in length dependent upon whether it is a registered number or an unincorporated number which is a number prefixed with UI. 'Possibly Related' refers to either a Bankruptcy or County Court Judgment which can be matched with a lower degree of confidence to the monitored business. From 1st October 2009, all directors will have a service address and a usual residential address. The service address for each directorship will be publicly available. The residential address will only be made available to public authorities and credit reference agencies that have been licensed by Companies House. On 1st October, a director’s current residential address filed at Companies House will automatically become the service address, and in conjunction with this change Experian have made changes to ensure that the service address is reflected within products. If searching for a business address, then enter the postcode without a house name or number. If searching for the address of a director or proprietor, then enter a house name/number along with the postcode. Note that this will match against directors’ address details entered during application input which may be different to those registered on the Companies House public register. |
