Companies House
All UK limited companies file data with Companies House in return for their 'limited' status. This includes
details about ownership, finance and directorships. This data is entered into Experian's databases on a daily
basis.
Registries
Experian regularly collect data from a number of registries including the Building Societies Registry, the
Charities Registry, and the Friendly Societies Registry.
Adverse Data
County Court Judgments, bankruptcies, winding-up petitions, liquidations, etc, are collected from a number
of sources, including the London & Edinburgh Gazettes, the Belfast Gazette, and the Registry Trust.
Payment Trends
Data is available to show how quickly individual companies and businesses are paying their bills. This is
based on actual payment behaviour by collating details from sales ledgers. Industry comparisons are also used.
Published Information
Information published in directories and the press is added to our databases on a daily basis.
Direct Contact
Information can be collected via direct contact with a subject business. This can be particularly useful for
newly established limited companies, or for a non-limited business where little data is available.
