Your business credit score is a measure of your business’ creditworthiness, which is made up from a number of different factors to understand the financial position of your business and its level of financial risk. The Experian My Business Profile score ranges from 0 to 100, with 0 representing a high risk and 100 representing a low risk.
A number of factors are taken into account when calculating your business credit score. Elements we use include:
- Publicly accessible data such as Companies House records
- Information on County Court Judgments (CCJs)
- Information from current account providers, credit card companies and other trade credit providers.
- Your payment performance to other companies
These positive and negative factors are combined to create your score, and all influence whether you are seen to have good or bad business credit, impacting your ability to secure finance for your business.
