If you already have your Gender Recognition Certificate and have not yet contacted us, you need to do so immediately. If you do not tell us you have a Gender Recognition Certificate, we will not know that you are covered by the Gender Recognition Act and will not be able to help protect any information that shows the links between your new and old name.
