Experian’s unemployment statistics extend over six years. We identify areas with endemic unemployment, and those susceptible to recovery or decline according to prevailing economic conditions.

A few key facts

• The unemployment data is built using information from the Department for Education and Skills (Dept for Children, Schools and Families).
• Data is available for analysis by postal sector and Output Area.
• Unemployment information is available in a variety of formats, including reports, maps, electronic data files, via the Internet, as pre-packaged datasets or within Experian's desktop mapping software, Micromarketer Generation3.
