Our clients here range from national TV and satellite broadcasters, national and local radio broadcasters, national and local newspapers, magazine publishers, and poster site owners and content providers.
Whilst many of these organisations still produce physical media such as newspapers and magazines, much of the content is now offered online. Many of these organisations are major publishers of online marketing content and advertisements for other brands and organisations – in the same way that they used to offer adverts in their newspapers or magazines.
Along with their own insight and information, examples of how our marketing products and services are used by clients in this sector include:
- Planning the media and news content most likely to be relevant to their audience
through an understanding of the likely characteristics and interests of their readers
- Acquiring new viewers and readers through postal and online marketing, ensuring
offers are directed to those to whom they are most likely to be relevant.
- Deciding which additional products and services would be most appropriate to inform
existing customers about e.g. a satellite broadcaster promoting their broadband or
mobile phone service, or additional media content packages.

Samsung Ads provides marketing adverts and messages that Samsung Ads can deliver on Smart TVs and on other internet connected devices. Adverts are tailored based on viewing and behavioural data, including Experian’s household and geographic level modelled data and insight segments. For example, Experian’s data may indicate that your household is likely to enjoy adventure and camping holidays in the UK, and therefore an advertiser promoting their regional get-away holiday offers, may choose to serve their marketing advert to you through Samsung Ads. Samsung Ads will use Experian data such as IP address, mobile telephone number, postal and email address to match data it already holds with Experian’s modelled data and insight segments.
Adverts are displayed on your Smart TV within the navigation bar, or when you are viewing content accessed from the navigation bar, including when viewing via Samsung TV Plus or other advertising-based video streaming and on-demand services on your Smart TV. Adverts will also be displayed on other advertising platforms, such as in mobile apps on devices that are part of a household in which Samsung Ads can deliver ads.
Samsung Ads also publishes viewing insights, which includes sociodemographic analysis using Experian’s data, taking care that these insights do not identify individuals.
