Tenant Screening

Know who you're letting to

How much more could you know about the tenants in your property?

Experian provides a range of tenant screening checks, enabling you to reduce the risks you take when letting to a new tenant. These checks provide you with all the facts you need to know about a tenant’s background history and credit reports, before you make that vital decision to let. Letting a property to the wrong person, based on inaccurate or wilfully misleading information, could result in potentially high damages to your income, your integrity and your reputation.

We offer one of the most advanced and comprehensive tenant referencing services available to private landlords and letting and property agents in the UK. Our tenant referencing service is accurate and easy to use and will provide you with all the information you need to make informed property letting decisions.

About the checks

The tenant screening checks also provides you with a series of tools, which inform you of any changes that could jeopardise the position and reliability of existing tenants. We can also help you with identity and fraud checks, references from employers, accountants and previous landlords, and a guarantor report, to help you further verify the tenant’s ability to cover the rental amount.

There are two levels of tenant screening reports available. The instant report is generated automatically – as soon as the prospective tenant has provided their approval – which enables you to make fast and informed letting decisions based on the results of the identity and credit checks. But should you require more information, a more detailed comprehensive report – which includes income and landlord references – can be delivered to you as soon as we have obtained the appropriate references.
