What is the LLPG?

Enquire now

The Local Land and Property Gazetteer (LLPG) is an address database upheld by local authorities in the UK. Previously local authorities held inconsistent and separate departmental databases. As part of a central government initiative, local authorities had to modernise their processes utilising new technologies.

What is the purpose of the Local Land and Property Gazetteer?

The primary aim of creating the LLPGs was to help ensure that all databases are:

  • Unified and easy to profile.
  • Up to date to offer better services to the public.

In effect, one address resource for a local authority area was created, eliminating previous repetitive processes.

The National Land and Property Gazetteer (NLPG) was then created as a central hub for all of the individual authority’s LLPGs.
