The energy and water markets have dramatically changed

Businesses and other non-domestic customers are continuing to feel the impacts of high prices and broader economic pressures. It is more important than ever that non-domestic suppliers treat their customers fairly and follow good practice in their customer interactions. This is particularly necessary in relation to debt management and disconnection practices.

What will we cover?

  • Macro-economics data summary and UK business trends.
  • Market summary into the regulatory changes affecting non-domestic suppliers.
  • Deep dive into utilities trends on payment, arrears, affordability and debt.

What are the challenges?

  • Given support is ending, what does this mean for your organisation? Do you perceive heightened risk, and increased need for better originations, debt management & provisioning?
  • Early and late collections and affordability: what is the current approach (litigation), and how you can support businesses who want to pay?
  • What challenges do you perceive in regulation? This might include identification of microbusinesses, identification of sites with vulnerability and debt collection (data or software).
